Room “Comtesse de Boigne”

Society, spiritual, modern woman...

You will be plunged into the universe of Adélaïde d’Osmond Countess of Boigne and of her husband Benoît Leborgne alias Count of Boigne who made his fortune in India and then became a great benefactor to Chambéry when he came back.

He financed the sewer system of the town and some buildings of the Hôtel Dieu in Chambéry, he also created a theatre – now known as Théâtre Charles Dullin. After he died, the Fontaine des Eléphants was raised as a sign of gratitude from the town in 1831. This room overlooking the courtyard of the Hôtel de Sautet has a peaceful and elegant atmosphere with shimmering tinges.
